WRITTEN BY THE REGAL PEOPLE.
The Arts Block was an amazing event that showcased talented kings and queens in the dmv area. "The Arts Block" provided an uplifting and inspiring regal presence ranging from musicians to visual artists.
The Regal People's message hit home while speaking with king Ola. In 2007, Ola came to the United States from Nigeria and discovered what an African-American struggle was. Curved by Hollywood and a commercialized cultural influence, his first-hand experienced life wasn't as good as it was portrayed or sold. His professional background in researching real estate was more astonishing. In basic terms, he literally saw "the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer". He encouraged The Regal People to continue to uplift and empower because contributions like this have diminished the commercialized cultural influence. And the awareness TRP showcased counteracts those false narratives.
The Regal People developed numerous relationships with various (and dope) kings and queens. We look forward to working with them and many others through our Regal Over Everything campaign and newly revamped blog. See a few more photos from the event below. Stay woke, remain conscious, keep it regal and stay royal.
